Nightclubs generally charge about 4 or 5 pounds for a drink, but they are considerably larger measures! How much you take cash wise is up to you, but if you take in our activities, you will be provided with considerable amount of sustenance, and the rest is up to you. Just what is a typical Madrid Night Out ? Mmm...where to begin! Hours are late, most restaurants open at around 9, at weekends no self respecting Spaniard will sit down to dinner until 11, though most bars will serve you tapas to keep you going till then. Bars and Pubs are open till about 3 and Nightclubs start hotting up about 1 and stay open till about 5 or 6, after which you can carry on till the cows come home in some of the capitals "after hours" establishments, the last refuge of yours truly on many a night! After which you will be just in time for Sunday Lunch! I'm arranging a stag/hen weekend and thinking that some of the older relations should come along. Is this for us? The best way is to pace yourself, measures are treble the UK rate and peak time is around 3am so if you are legless at 11 you may find you have missed out somewhat.
