A Tapas tour like no other - delicious dishes from around Spain and washed down with some excellent wines to suit. All combined with a fascinating stroll through Madrid's historic old quarter. Along the way we stop in traditional wine taverns, some of whom date back to the 16th century and all of whom provide outstanding Iberian fayre and try the very best that Madrid can offer the gastronomic visitor.At every stop you will enjoy excellent wines along with a delicious selection of hot and cold tapas dishes, an explanation about the origins of tapas and its cultural place in the Spanish diet. Between each stop you will learn something of the history and culture of Spain, Madrid and its sometimes dramatic effect on the history of Europe and the wider world, as well as finding some hidden jewels of the capital.....far far away from any tourist map. Your guides have all found that magical combination of a love of history, good food and fine wine that will enhance any visit to this most uneuropean of cities.
Private Tour cost: 55 Euros per person which covers all food and drink consumed ( Minimum 6 people)
Public Tour every night from Puerta del Sol at 8pm.Cost: 39 Euros per person to cover your tour and wine and tapas in your first tavern - thereafter whatever you wish to consume.
